Pillars wove back an' forth rhythmically beneath my slight form as I slunk silently amongst the carcasses of the ancient giants, their bark decomposing around my feet and giving its life back to our mother earth. What was an outcast like me doing here, you might ask? That's a whole different story. For so long now, I'd been on my own; too long. Long snow-hued mane blew softly out over my thin neck & shoulders. Oh, how I wished to be somewhere, anywhere, else; in my "home", wherever that was. Even I didn't know for sure, yet. Exhaling slowly, I turned to look out over the crumbling remains of this, the land of love. Tall grasses blew in the breeze, reaching their sun-kissed finger up towards our glowing ember now so widely known as the sun. As my gaze traced out over the terrain, my attention was caught by a slight movement near the river-side. Someone else was here, too.
