☽H i n a ;; Goddess of the m o o n » The music was sung, it ran through her audits, playing through her head. Where had that beautiful music come from? From what did it come out of? A shiver was sent down her spine and she snorted. Hopefully this wasn't a bad omen from something that was somewhere. Her whipcord swished through the air, pushing the flies away from her rump as she neared the lake where the water was fresh and clean. She had come here to rest and to gain her strength before heading off once more towards the unknown lands.
» She sighed, her pillars easily taking her to the lake's shore, her daggers moved in first, sinking softly into the mud below. She watched the water ripple as she moved, causing it to beautifully reflect the sun above. She lowered her crania towards the cool water, nape extended. The music was still stuck in her head, she could not push it out. The sound was sweet, but sad and dangerous too. What did it mean? What would it bring for her? Snorting once more, her lips parted, and she started to drink.

[glow=red,2,300]**Hickory. D i c kory. Doc**[/glow] Long legs swallowed the ground, chestnut tail flying high like a banner as he ran, the landscape whizzing by me as i ran. My head was held high, my thoroughbred face looked around, eyes scanning the area mid-flight. My nostrils quivered as i took in scents, which was a little harder than it sounds since the wind created by me propelling foreword would throw all my senses off. The sound of hoofbeats filled the area surrounding me, and my long legs covered more ground than any normal horse could ever dream of. A scent filled my nose, and it caught my attention. Another horse, no doubt. I planted my feet, and stopped in a matter of feet, the sliding stop coming from my father. I held my head high, powerful neck arched, every part of my body alert, eyes and ears desperatly trying to locate her. Yes, a mare, no doubt. No stallion can Not Notice the smell of the darling young mares nowadays, especially one as c o c k y and sex-driven as me. My forelock rested over one eye, as the other searched the landscape. When i decided on a definite location of the mare, i turned in that direction and picked my stride up to a prancing trot, my tail held high, a banner following me, rippling muscles displaying the power of a quarter horse with the grace and refinement of a thoroughbred, and the sure footedness of a mustang. When she was in sight, i slowed back to a walk. I had approached from behind her, so i was going to take extreme caution when coming up to her. She was pretty, but that doesnt mean shes stupid, i didnt want her to get the wrong idea. With all the mares that are being raped nowadays. I may be sex-driven, but i would only cover a willing mare, im not that much od a d i c k. "Hey, babei, whacha doin?" I catcalled with a grin. as a got closer. "Whats a little darlin like yourself doing out here by yourself?" I asked, and stopped. if she wanted to associate, she'd turn to face me. [/blockquote]

» Her bodice froze, she could smell the stag before she could hear him. Her audits flicked and she raised her cranium up and away from the water, droplets falling from her muzzle. She snorted softly, irritated that she had been disturbed but curious to see what kind of stag it was. For she was not yet in a herd and claimable, only if she wanted to be claimed though. The wind pushed itself gently against her, coaxing her, calming her.
» The sound of hooves was rhythmic and for some odd reason, she found it calming. It almost made the music in her head go away. As he neared she could feel his warm carbon dioxide as he breathed out. She stood there, frozen to the ground, her audits pulled back, unsure what to think of this stag? She breathed in, taking all the scents around her but singling the stag's smell. He was a light, probably not one to attack like a darq, but he could be just as dangerous. Oh yes, just as dangerous.
» Finally the stag spoke but it was in an odd manner. He sounded confident, a bit overly confident. That irritated her but she did not move, her daggers still stood on the mud in the cool water, it felt like she was sinking in, even though she wasn't. Her cranium turned slightly, her voids looking him over, he was mixed, she could tell but he had a strong build and would probably be a stallion that would watch over his herd well, or not. If he didn't get distracted of course. "I am taking a drink from this lake." She replied, "Is it not obvious?"

[glow=red,2,300]**H i c k o r y. D i c k o r y. D o c**[/glow] I chuckled at her reaction, and proceded to approach her, only stopping when he was right next to her. He eyed the water, and looked over his own reflection in the water. But his eyes didnt stay there long, and they wandered up to the mare herself. She was a pretty young thing, as alot of mares were nowadays. But sadly, alot of them had a stuck up air to them, and would blow them off the first chance they got. She seemed different than all the others. You could tell she was a loner, and she seemed perfectly okay with it. That showed me the mare could fend for herself, which would be easier for me to have her in my herd. But she wasnt just darling, she was stunning. She seemed standoffish as she spoke. A rumbling, soft but deep chuckle escaped me. "A lake, eh? Never could have guessed...." I said with a sarcastic tone of voice. I smiled warmly. "What i meant was why is a gorgeous young thing like yourself doing without a herd? I would have thought a stallion would have snatched you up by now..." I explained and paused. "After all, your looks are nothing short of intoxicating...." I added with a confident grin, like that of the cheshire cat. [/blockquote]

» He neared her till he was standing next to her, his breath was warm, though he didn't blow it on her, she could still feel it. Calmly she breathed in and out like she normally did so that she could live. His voids had wandered towards his own reflection in the water before pushing it's way up to look at her bodice, she did not mind, stags did this often, but either, she ran away, or they rejected her. Hopefully this one would reject her like most others, but he had a different look in his eye then most.
» As she listened to him speak, she sighed. He was like most other stags, or seemed to be. Her smell, though she was not in heat, seemed to intoxicate him. She listened closely to his sarcastic tones then his gentler one's, her mind coming up with words to reply, her shifted a little to face him, but not enough to touch him. "Do I look like the type to be whoo'd by stags easily?" She asked, her cranium turned to look forward, the lake was gentle, the sky was piercing blue and little puffs of clouds were here and there. She back out of the lake slowly, she had enough to drink for now and the parts of her legs that were under the water had started to make her cold.

I laid back my ears as she asked the question. Maybe she hadnt made it sound angry, but that kind of question was usually only made when the mare is offended. I smiled sheepishly, my mind searching for an answer. Mares were so easily offended! It made them so hard to talk to, if you were aiming to take them home, you had to be awful careful what you say to them. Finally i opened my mouth in answer. Well, Baby girl, you look like the type who would have at least ten stallions after your tail. I replied, and my eyes traveled over her body, and i had to try real hard to control myself. Blasted hormones, if i didnt keep them in check, id lose this little babe with not even a goodbye as she left. And im merely one of them. Drop your guard, sweetheart. I dont bite.... I reassured, but a smirk appeared on my lips and i leaned in to whisper in her ear. "...unless you ask nicely" I added, before pulling my head up to where it was supposed to be. I kept my distance. I didnt want her thinking i was all up in her space, crowding her, then i would be considered pushy and that can make a mare turn tail and leave as fast as anything else. I waited calmly for an answer.[/blockquote]

» She smirked as he lowered his cranium to her audit, his lyrics tickled. She chuckled, her caution had lowered a bit but she still did not trust this stag that much, his over confidence annoyed her. "You may not bite but I do. Most likely more than you.
" She neighed softly. Her smirk and smile quickly disappeared. Was I meant to start a herd with......this stag? She thought to herself. Of course not. He is a ladies man, I don't get along well with these kind of stags. Or do I? She snorted, her thoughts disappeared in a flash and she jolted back to the present. » She let herself down and laid on her side, there wasn't enough mud to roll in and she preferred to roll in grass. The sun's rays hit on her grayish coat neatly. She sighed, laying her head down, she felt comfortable around this stag. For unknown reasons too. Why did I have to fall for him? She thought to herself as she breathed in and out slowly, her stomach moving up and down as she breathed. [/blockquote]

I smirked at her response, but i didnt move as she went to roll. "Oh is that right? We'd have to see about that sometime...." i answered with a joking smile. But you never know, Im known to bite pretty hard, if you'd like me to. I added with a grin. I watched her as this greyish mare did her rolling, before striding up to her. But baby youre beautiful and id love to get to know you better. I stated calmly. What do they call a beautiful thing like yourself? If you care, my name is Hickory D i c kory Doc. I stated. ~ As i waited for the reply, i looked up at the sky, the suns peaceful rays warming my face. [/blockquote] ---eh, i aint got nothin

» She looked towards him as he neared her. The way he talked was starting to annoy her, with all the "beautiful" and "baby" crap. She snorted but continued to listen to him as he spoke, her audits moving back and forth as he mentioned his name, what an odd name.
, she thought to herself. " I was called Mahina when I was in my father and mother's herd." She replied. Her name was hardly mentioned now days, since she hardly mentioned it. » She rolled back up, her pillars pushed under her to bring her to standing position. She smiled to herself, the mud, or whatever it was, was cool on her back and blocked the sun rays a bit. Her voids watched the stag silently, wondering what to do next. She hadn't been by a stag for this long before, except whens he was in her parent's herd. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

I smiled and chuckled. its not a name i chose, you give a two-legged the chance to name something, and thats what ya get. But its no worries. Its fun to introduce myself. I added, feeling it was something i needed to say at the time. shaking my mane and looking around, eyes scanning the area, looking fro something exciting. Seeing none i sighed, my ears flicked back in a casual manner, but pricked and focused on her as she spoke. The smile appeared on my face once more. Mahina, eh? Pretty, in its own little way. Very fitting. I complimented, and shifted my weight, my shoulder muscle twitched to rid it of the fly that had just decided to land there. I lowered me head to a foreleg, and rubbed my cheek on it, relieving both the itch on my face and on my leg. [/blockquote]

» "Thank you." She muttered. She sighed, it was good meeting up with this stag, she had fallen for him, just a bit, but that didn't mean he was going to take her just yet. She wanted to explore the land more, meet more stags and mares to see what life was like outside of a herd, even though she already knew what it was like. But this was a new land, far from where she was originally born. She shook her main, dust flew out of it.
» "I must go soon." She neighed to the stag. "It wants to take me places." She sneezed, the dust from her main had somehow made it's way up to her nose. She sneezed once more then stopped. "I can't stay with you. Not yet. Maybe not ever." She said quietly. "But I do hope our paths meet up again one day." She smiled gently. "You may try to stop me but I'll still get away."
